Palm Beach County aviation chief: security at Trump visits will be “tweaked.” Not “tweeted.”
A tweak is not a tweet.
Palm Beach County Airports Director made the slip Tuesday at a workshop presentation on flight restrictions that will be in place when President Donald Trump is at Mar-a-Lago, his “winter White House.”
The new president is notorious for tweeting out comments at all hours.
In his initial remarks. Pelly noted that Trump hasn’t made a visit yet since he was sworn in on Friday and that “things will be tweeted after the first visit.”
That brought snickers from county commissioners, and a few piped up that Pelly probably meant “tweaked.”
Pelly corrected himself, saying, “I shouldn’t have used that term.”
Commissioner Steve Abrams laughed that “now we’re going to get a tweet.”
